Was just given a MBA by my new firm. We work in an office with terrible Wifi, but apparently the ethernet is better. My question is, since Apple Thunderbolt Monitors are discontinued, has anyone found a suitable alternative that has an easy ethernet solution like Apple monitor? I'd love to not buy an ethernet hub AND a monitor.

You can get a Thunderbolt to VGA adapter and a USB Ethernet adapter. Seems like that would be simpler.
Yes, thank you. One important piece of information. USBs are fully committed. Yet, I suppose I could get a usb hub. So many cables!
It would, of course, cost $$, but you could consider replacing some of your USB devices with bluetooth devices... mouse, external keyboard, etc... the MBA wasn't exactly designed with a plethora of ports, it was never intended to be a desktop replacement. Just be glad you have more than the single USB C port you get on a MacBook.
